Report of the last semester and the summer

Dear new and old friends!
it looks like it has been a long while since we updated the hiking club's blog. We can simply accuse Facebook for this as well! :)
All the recent activities are recorded on the facebook group.
I think I should start from the bouldering on 19th September 2010:
It was a climbing event which Mansour had planned. There were a couple of climbers who showed up but because of the bad luck it had been raining and the rocks were slippery so it was impossible to climb and do any kind of bouldering.

The next event was the trip to Norway 24 to 26 September 2010:
We were 8 people and two cars. The MDH Hiking Club supported us with cooking stove, car expenses and tents and sleeping bags. It was such a nice trip with super nice company.
We were a multinational group as always:
Nick from USA, Pawel from Czech Republic, Walter from USA, Mahgol from Iran, Jackie from Sweden, Arno from Germany, Bruno from Croatia and Constance from France. We made it to Lysefjord, Ljerag and trolltunga. Mahgol and Constance got some problem with their ankles and knee and could not follow to the the rest of the trip rather than trolltunga. The next trip was a 14 km hiking to Hallstahammar on November 7th:
They were just three people, Constance, Peter and Koen.
They said that it was so cold and tough. But our heroes did it!
In that time of the year, it is a lot of snow and the sun sets at around 3 PM but they made it.

Then our hiking club faced a long depression period because of many reasons but on

Maj 13th 2011 we got contacted by svartådalen organization which takes care of a hiking trail close to västerås and we decided to help them as we did in year 2010.
We were a group of 5 people: Shahab Fekri, Mahgol Amin, Hossein Nourozian, Neda Kazemie and Eric Söderberg who drove up to the trail and marked it and cut some extra branches and got some lessons about Swedish forest.

And then when it became warmer it was time for a more serious trip and we decided to go to Kebnekaise which is Sweden's highest peak. 9th to 16th of August 2011 was the set date and we were a group of 4 people. Shahab, Mahgol, Melika and Björn. We partly took the train and partly plain and got ourselves to the Kebnekaise fjälstation and made day trips in the Kebnekaise area.
Now you can say that the blog is updated.
The next post which will come very soon will be mostly about the upcoming events for the Autumn semester 2011-2012
Until then stay happy and blessed.
Cheers
