Hiking Trip on Saturday 29th of May

This weekend we want to follow two parts of the Bruksleden, that means etapp12 and etapp13.
This will be a very nice round trip in the region of Trummelsberg - Landsberget - Bastmora. We will meet at the main entrance at the university at 10 and will go there by car. At the moment we have one car, that means place for 5 people. If you want to join please contact me (mantzi@gmx.de). The weather forecast says it will rain a little bit, so be prepared to have a rain jacket and take some dry clothes we can leave in the car. And of course something to drink and to eat. :)

Rarely on Sunday

Hello everyone,

I cannot do any hike on saturday because our national hockey team will play great match against Swedish one on Saturday at 14:00 on Ice Hockey World Championship. But I have free Sunday so I decided to do some trip on Sunday. We (I hope somebody will join me) will go by bus to Skultuna Kyrka at 9:05 from Västerås Centralstation. We will have whole day to get back to Västerås by walk. It is around 20 km. I thing it will take at most six hours. Mahgol told me there could be a lot of water in the forest so take good shoes and don´t forget some snack and enough water. If somebody is interesed, please, let me know and send me an e-mail (j.sukup@centrum.cz).

While we are not here

Hi dear friends.
finally it feels like some thing between summer and spring has reached Sweden. This country is beautiful. Enjoy the blossoms and light green leaves, they gonna turn to dark green leaves kind of fast. Spring is so short here in Sweden. Enjoy it as much as you can.
Today Honza (j.sukup@centrum.cz), got some maps and suggestions to do hikes from me.
He said he is ready to go on some hikes during next couple of weeks since he does not have so much to do and he is interested in hiking.
Contact him if you want to go with him.
We promise to have so much fun in Iran. We are finally a group on 8 people going from Västerås. We will have a hiking there and the report will be published here.

Saturday the 9th

This weekend based on two main reasons there are no hikings planned by the hiking club.
1. Constance has not been here in Sweden.
2. Many students are going to Stockholm with Internation Committee so as we said before, we try not to overlap with IC plans.
I will be in Iran for next two weekends and one week after I am in France so there will be no plans from my side. Lets see what Constance does though she is alos in Iran with me the week after.

Report on the hiking on Saturday May 1st

It was such a nice day!
Thanks to Umesh, Constance, Melika, Björn, Eric, Mahgol, Tomas, Christiane and Clover.
We gathered and met at student kåren at 9 in the morning, drove to north of Västerås and walked almost 20 kms and marked the svartådalens vandringsled. We devided in two groups and Eric provided all the material. There is a nice picture of us at the meeting point.
Next week might be a canoeing/Camping plan. We were back in Västerås at around 8 in the afternoon a long but nice day.
